CNN Video - Breaking News Videos - Melted eyes

Sunday, February 10th, 2008

SERIOUS PROBLEM, Atlanta area child has melted eye from internet video unusable stupidity.

twitter: “CNN’s eye-melting white video site with the wrong-aspect video is fucking horrible.”

SERIOUS PROBLEM

White background melts eyes. Also the aspect ratio of the video is incorrect (is stretching fullscreen video in a widescreen player). Please change background to gray or other darker neutral color, replace player with standard “fullscreen” player, and promptly ship replacement eyes. Thank you.

Help. Leave a comment card today. I lost the link for you to do that. Our apologies.

Every time I update Wordpress they make a new goddamned version.

The Internet Effect: Damon Zex.

Monday, October 15th, 2007

There’s a reason everyone should know that no government regulations apply to the content of cable programming (or any subscription media service) provided it isn’t flat-out obscene (which is another ball of cans of worms I’m not going to get into). Damon Zex is an obscure figure primarily from late 1990s public access television, and if it weren’t for him I would probably not care either way.

Ah, sometimes I miss my days back at the dorm watching Chicago public access at 3 in the morning. Little did I know, the story behind this show was becoming much more interesting in Ohio, where it was originally broadcast.

I’ve had like a real keen interest in video art (especially 90s-related) lately.

And putting embedded video in WordPress entries is a pain in the ass because of its restricted wysiwyg crap.

Testing and Tabula Rasa.

Friday, October 12th, 2007

I was testing Semagic when applied to WordPress. Didn’t work. I will miss my Livejournal icons. Maybe I’ll work something out.

The Internet is so much fun tonight. Maybe I’ll stop capitalizing internet. It’s not novel and who gives a shit anyway.

Time to shoot aliens because the Tabula Rasa beta is over soon. I’ve been having a hell of a time with it, but the slowdown after level 10 is really starting to drag on me. I’m too used to how easy warcraft was. This is like Halo, but twisted with Auto Assault…without the cars. I’d link all this shit up but I don’t care.

What a punk entry. Fuck it.

Renaissance.

Friday, October 12th, 2007

I’ve been out of the loop.

Since before we moved, I’ve let myself fall incredibly behind with technology and the Internet in general. An innocent bystander would probably say that I’d lost my touch with it and grew too old to keep up with my damned self.

So, I’m taking it back. A few weeks ago I found out about the existence of something I’ve been wanting for a very long time. My problem is that Livejournal has become a stereotype I don’t want to influence first impressions for people that are interested in my glut of rambling, content, whatever you call it.

I found out that a plugin existed for WordPress that makes it mirror itself on a Livejournal. Now I am able to have the respectable image of a serious, real website for grown-ups, while also being able to have the community of the Livejournal and maintain my connections and friendships through it.

Welcome to fiction is lying version 0.0.1.0.0.2. Fuck a version number; I didn’t even make the damn thing this time really, because someone came up with a much better tool long ago.

Here’s hoping this can last.
